A trip to Istana

Me,my family and my friend's family went to Istana  which is in Dhoby Ghaut. I was so excited because I have never seen any famous peoples' house before.Me and my friend met at the MRT.We took food, picnic mat, water bottle, camera etc.We took the train from Serangoon to Dhoby Ghaut. We reached there in the evening and saw a very long queue for the entry. I was shocked. We queued a little while. Then a man came by, he saw my friend's brother who was a baby.

He told that there was another queue for babies and elderly. My friend came with his grandma too. His grandma was very old. Then we moved to the other queue which was for elderly people and people with babies. The security who was standing there let us join the other queue. The  queue lead us to the security check . The securities checked us. The security checking was like the way they check us in changi airport.

Then we walked a long way to the president's house. By the way we saw a playground. We played there a little while. We enjoyed it a lot.We went into the president's house. It was very very huge. It was the biggest house I have ever seen. There were some areas which were closed.

The areas which were open to everyone was  the exhibitions areas. There were only 3 exhibition areas. They were full of the things that Mr president got from other  countries. There were many things from India too. They were very beautiful. All the things were very shiny.

I liked the traditional Korean crown which  Mr president from South Korea which was in the  banquet hall. We went to the third room. It was about the president's flag. The flag  was similar to the Singapore flag but it did not have the white part. It was red in colour. The red colour means the universal brotherhood.  The crescent means young country. The five stars means justice, freedom, love, peace and equality. After we saw all the rooms,we  went outside.

We ate our food. The food was very yummy. The sad thing was that we could not take photos of the things which were inside the president's house. So we took pictures of the fountain, flowers and ourselves! It was very fun and interesting. Some shows were happening outside the president's house. I took photos of one of the acrobatics show. I loved it. Then the president  came and took photos with the people who did the shows. I took a picture of them all! At last we went back home.

Everyone must see the president's house. It is only opened three times a year.
I am sure you will love it!

                                                                          Thank you!
